Important information

Before taking this medicine

To make sure this medication is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had:

  • depression, mental illness, bipolar disorder, psychosis;
  • suicidal thoughts or actions;
  • low blood pressure; or
  • Liver disease.

Some young people have thoughts of suicide when they take Strattera for the first time, or when the dose is changed. Your physician must check your development at usual visits. Your folks or other caregivers must as well be attentive to changes in your feelings or symptoms.

It is not known if this medicine will harm the unborn baby. Tell your physician if you are expecting or planning to become pregnant. It is not recognized whether atomoxetine releases into breast milk or if it might affect an infant. Tell your physician if you are breast-feeding an infant. Strattera is not approved for use by persons less than 6 years of age.
